|Loz-e-Nargil for Nowruz , Coconut sweet|
2 tablespoons milk or coconut milk,2 tablespoons orange blossom water or rosewater, 1 tbs corn starch for thickening, powdered pistachio for garnish
This no bake sweet tastes like heaven, melts in your mouth and is perfect for New Year.
- Mix water and sugar in a small pan, bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue to simmer for another 10 minutes or until the syrup thickens a little bit. Add corn starch and let blend. Remove from heat and beat well with a whisk until the texture is as thick as honey. Return the pan back to the stove. Add the coconut, rosewater and milk, mix well over very low heat for about 5 minutes or until well blended. Pour the mixture into an 5*10 inch lined pan. Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until firm.
- Cut the loz in diamond-shaped pieces and sprinkle pistachio powder.
Serve with fresh brewed hot tea!
